Ministry brings moments when it helps to pause, listen, and see the path ahead more clearly. The Rev. Frank Allen works with clergy, church leaders, and congregations through coaching, retreats, preaching, and teaching. Drawing on decades of parish leadership and his work with spiritual gifts, Frank can help you reflect on what is happening now, discern where God may be calling them, and take a faithful next step.
Ways to work together
Coaching for Clergy and Leaders
Leadership can be fulfilling and lonely at the same time. Clergy and lay leaders a confidential place to talk through difficult decisions, changing roles, strained relationships, and the demands of ministry. Together, you can identify what needs attention, draw on your gifts and experience, and find a more sustainable way forward. Coaching is available for a single pressing question or as a series of conversations over time.
Retreats, Strategic Planning & Vestries
A vestry or leadership team sometimes needs space away from its regular agenda to have a different kind of conversation. Frank designs and leads retreats that help groups listen to one another, understand the opportunities and challenges before them, and discern shared priorities. He can also guide a longer process that includes preparation, a retreat, and follow-up as the team puts its decisions into practice.
Preaching and Teaching
Frank is available to preach, lead a Sunday forum, teach a class, or speak at a clergy or diocesan gathering. He works with each host to shape a message or learning experience that speaks to the community’s questions. Topics include spiritual gifts, discernment, faithful leadership, change, and finding balance in ministry. A preaching or teaching visit can stand on its own or open a wider conversation among a congregation’s leaders.
Pricing & Fees
Individual coaching is available as a single focused session or a series of conversations over time. Vestry retreats, workshops, preaching, and teaching are shaped around the needs of your group. Before you make a commitment, Frank will provide a description of the work, fees, and any travel expenses.
